Beach days call for soft, fresh towels that are always ready for your next getaway. To preserve the quality, softness and absorbency of your Torres Novas towels, a few simple care tips can make all the difference.

Before first use
Before using your towels for the first time, wash them in cold water without detergent. Due to their low-twist construction, it is natural for some loose cotton fibres to be released during the first few uses.

Wash colours separately
In summer, towels often accompany us to the beach, pool and on our travels. To keep their colours looking beautiful for longer, wash them with other terry towels of the same colour and avoid mixing them with garments or fabrics that could damage the fibres.

Choose a gentle wash
Machine wash your towels, preferably in cold water and never above 40 ºC. Also avoid fabric softener, as it reduces the fibres’ absorbency. Occasionally, you can add a small amount of white vinegar to the wash cycle.
And there is one essential rule: never use bleach, as it can damage the terry fabric of your towels.

Dry as you prefer
After washing, you can either tumble dry your towels at a low to moderate temperature or leave them to air-dry on a clothesline.

Let them breathe between beach trips
After a day at the beach or pool, hang your towel on a towel rail or clothesline so that it can dry thoroughly before being folded. This helps prevent moisture build-up and unpleasant odours.
For proper hygiene, we recommend changing and washing your towels after 5 to 7 uses.

Store them in a cool, dry place
Once washed, store your towels in a cool, dry space, away from damp areas. This way, they will always be ready to accompany your best summer moments.
